The Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA), an international bar association comprised of attorneys dedicated to the representation of individual investors in disputes with the securities industry, today announced the 2021 PIABA Distinguished Service Award recipient, Jason Doss.
Jason Doss was a student member of PIABA before becoming a full member. He has served on the PIABA Bar Journal Board of Editors, including Editor-in-Chief. Jason has served on the Arbitration, Bylaws, Fiduciary, Legislation, Membership, SRO, Annual Meeting, and Securities Law Seminar Committees. Jason has moderated and presented on numerous Annual Meeting panels. He served on the PIABA Board of Directors from 2009 - 2015, serving as PIABA President in 2014. In 2011, Mr. Doss was instrumental in creating The PIABA Foundation, having served on the Board and as President. He has moved The PIABA Foundation’s agenda forward by authoring papers and focusing on issues of importance to investors and securities practitioners.
The PIABA Distinguished Service Award is a life-time achievement award in recognition of individuals promoting the interests of public investors in securities arbitration. "Mr. Doss' contributions and achievements on behalf of public investors are immeasureable and we are honored to recognize him with PIABA's highest honor, the Distinguished Service Award," said Robin Ringo, Executive Director of PIABA.
