Royal Lea was named the recipient of the 2013 PIABA Outstanding Service Award for her service and contributions to Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association (PIABA).

A long-standing member of the PIABA and its Amicus Committee, Mr. Lea has authored a number of "friend of the court" briefs submitted by PIABA in federal and state cases.

Mr. Lea is a partner in the law firm, Bingham & Lea, P.C. in San Antonio, Texas, where he represents individuals in securities litigation and arbitration cases. He holds a J.D. from the University of Texas Law School at Austin. He is admitted to practice in Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, U.S. District Court, Northern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas. Mr. Lea is a Municipal Court Judge for the City of Helotes, Texas.
