Regular Membership Application
Young Member Application (35 and under or in practice less than 5 years)

Regular Member Applicants
Regular member applicants must be an attorney-at-law duly admitted to practice before the courts. Upon receipt of a regular member application, it generally takes three to five days to finalize the review and complete the admission process. In general, PIABA Members have access to all services including member list-serves and the member only area of the website. Other benefits of membership include attending the PIABA Annual Business Meeting, eligibility to vote in Director elections, and/or serve on PIABA committees. Regular Members who meet the qualifications, may seek election to the PIABA Board of Directors. The membership fee is $625 per year.

Young Member Applicants
Young Member applicants must be 35 years of age and under or in practice less than 5 years. Young member applicants must be an attorney-at-law duly admitted to practice before the courts. Alternatively, recent law school graduates may be provisionally admitted pending bar results. Upon receipt of a young member application, it generally takes three to five days to finalize the review and complete the admission process. Young PIABA Members have access to the same services as a Regular Member, including member list-serves and the member only area of the website. Other benefits of membership include attending the PIABA Annual Business Meeting, eligible to vote in Director elections, and/or serve on PIABA committees. Young Members who meet the qualifications, may seek election to the PIABA Board of Directors. The membership fee is discounted as follows - Year One, $325; Year Two, $425; Year Three, $525.

PIABAPlus
An optional program, PIABAPlus is available to all Members. Members may include their photograph in FIND AN ATTORNEY, as well as, other Member searches, biography, blog link, and other information pertinent to their practices. The additional cost is $200 per year.

PIABA Webcast Library and Webinars
PIABA membership includes access to the PIABA Webcast Library which currently includes 20+ free webcasts geared toward Securities Arbitration practice issues. Annually, PIABA offers several free webinars available live and for replay at no cost to current members. PIABA offers several paid webinars that include one or more hours of CLE credit (where approved). As with the current Webcast Library, upcoming free and paid webinars address Securities Arbitration practice issues.

Membership Qualifications
At a minimum, PIABA membership qualifications include:
1. the applicant must be an attorney-at-law duly admitted to practice before the courts (license must be active);
2. the applicant may not be an employee or a principal of any securities or commodities brokerage firm; 
3. for the past year, NEITHER the applicant nor any of his/her partners may have devoted twenty percent (20%) or more of their securities practice to representing securities or commodities industry clients against public investors; and
4. the applicant must agree to immediately inform PIABA, in writing, if they cease to meet any of the qualifications.
