October 28, 2023 (Norman, OK). The PIABA Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce the winners of the 2023 James E. Beckley Writing Competition.
Florida State University College of Law student, Maxwell Holleman was awarded 1st Place and received $1,500 for his paper "Navigating the Greenwash: Strengthening Measures to Combat Deceptive Sustainability Claims."
University of Nevada Las Vegas, Boyd School of Law student, Joseph Morris was awarded 2nd Place and received $1,000 for his paper "Reinstating Public Confidence in Cyrptocurrency Exchanges Through Enhanced Corporate Governance."
St.John's University School of Law student, Nicholas Mattone was awarded 3rd Place and received $750 for his paper "Major Disclosure: How the SEC's Proposed Emission Disclosure Rules May Trigger the Major Questions Doctrine."
