2020 PIABA Annual Meeting and Securities Law Seminar

PIABA will host the 29th PIABA Annual Meeting at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado. In keeping with health and safety concerns, PIABA will present the Securities Law Seminar virtually and the PIABA Annual Meeting will be presented virtually and in-person. To accommodate all time zones, five sessions will be presented during the Securities Law Seminar. Four sessions will be hosted each day of the Annual Meeting with two breakout session options presented during these presentations. So they may timely receive their webinar codes, virtual registrants will be required to confirm their breakout choices by 10 am PDT on October 19, 2020.

Securities Law Seminar - Tuesday, October 20, 2020
PIABA Annual Meeting  - Wednesday, October 21, 2020 - Friday, October 23, 2020
PIABA Board Meeting    - Saturday, October 24, 2020

Annual Meeting Hotel Reservation Information - Hotel Reservation Form
The host hotel for the program is The Broadmoor, 1 Lake Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80906. Room rates begin at $229 (plus applicable taxes and fees) and must be made through PIABA to receive the PIABA Group rate. A $20 resort fee applies to all room nights. The final date to confirm a room at the group rate is September 11, 2020. If the PIABA block sells-out prior to September 11th, rooms will be confirmed on a space-available basis at the rate provided by The Broadmoor.

The Broadmoor will waive all fees for reservations canceled on or before seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of arrival. Failure to cancel any reservation within the seven (7) day time frame may result in full payment of the reservation. The penalty for cancelling inside the seven (7) days is one room night plus tax and fees. 

Securities Law Seminar and Annual Meeting Registration Information - Meeting Agenda
As noted above, the Securities Law Seminar will be presented virtually only. The registration fee for individuals wishing to attend the Securities Law Seminar only is $400.

The PIABA Annual Meeting registration fee is inclusive of the Securities Law Seminar for in-person and virtual Annual meeting registrations. Daily registration fees or other discounts are unavailable.

PIABA does not plan to make the Securities Law Seminar available for in-person viewing at The Broadmoor, rather registrants are directed to participate via their laptops or tablets in an area of their choosing. PIABA may revisit this decision depending on the number of individuals on-site and registered for the Securities Law Seminar. 

Closed Meeting Sessions
The Annual Business Meeting and some break-out sessions may be designated as "closed", and open to PIABA members only. An alternative session will not be presented during the Annual Business Meeting. Non-members will be registered for the alternative open break-out sessions.

Meeting Registration Cancelation/Refund Policy
Cancelations received in writing by PIABA on or before September 14, 2020, will receive a full refund less a $100 per person processing fee. Effective September 15, 2020, canceled in-person registrations will be converted to virtual registrations without a refund of any fees.

Event Registration
Due to the structure of the Annual Meeting sessions, PIABA is unable to host the PIABA Tennis Tournament and PIABA Golf Tournament. At this time, individual play is permitted by the Tennis facility and Broadmoor Golf Club. The regular court-time rate will apply. The Broadmoor Golf Club will honor the green fee negotiated by PIABA. Please confirm reservations directly through The Broadmoor. Be sure to let them know you are a PIABA registrant.

Annual Meeting and Securities Law Written Materials
The meeting materials will be available by download (only) on or before October 15, 2020. Individuals unable to attend the PIABA Annual Meeting or Securities Law Seminar may purchase the written materials by completing the Written Materials Order Form at piaba.org. 

Audio and videotaping of conference events, general sessions and break-outs are strictly prohibited. PIABA reserves the right to change meeting sessions and speakers at any time for any reason. PIABA further reserves the right to restrict attendance at any meeting session.
